Working to Improve Nutrition in Northern Nigeria (WINNN)

The “Working to Improve Nutrition in Northern Nigeria” (WINNN) programme aims to enhance nutritional status of children under five years old through delivery of nutrition interventions under the routine health services in five Northern States (Jigawa, Zamfara, Kebbi, Katsina and Yobe). This is a six-year initiative (Oct 2011- September 2017) with the collaboration of DFID (Department for International Development), Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH), Save the Children International (SCI), Action Against Hunger (ACF) and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The programme is now in its fourth year of implementation.

The programme aims at contributing to the improvement of nutritional status of 11 million under five children in the five States.
