2017 Nigeria Service Delivery Innovation Challenge

The Nigeria Service Delivery Innovation Challenge (NSDIC) was a competitive process to identify, showcase and spur innovations in service delivery to improve the quality and coverage of RMNCAH and nutrition interventions primarily in North East Nigeria. To achieve this, the Federal Ministry of Health with the Global Financing Facility (World Bank Group), collaborated with the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria, International Finance Corporation, Healthcare Federation of Nigeria, and Sterling Bank issued a request for concept note to solicit submission from innovations nationwide.

The challenge consists of a 3-stage process: Concept note submissions (December, 2016), Initial selection and Showcase, and Final selection to be included in Nigeria’s GFF case. In attendance at the showcase event held at Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, were dignitaries such as Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (Vice President of Nigeria), Dr. E. Osagie Ehanire (Honourable Minister of State for Health), Dr. Okechukwu Enemelah (Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment), and many more. The final selection of winners will be announced later in the year, and will form a part of the country’s investment case.
