Global Financing Facility – Nigeria Service Delivery Innovation Challenge (NSDIC)

The Nigeria Service Delivery Innovation Challenge (NSDIC) was a competitive process to identify, showcase and spur innovations in service delivery to improve the quality and coverage of RMNCAH and nutrition interventions primarily in North East Nigeria. We defined service delivery innovation as a new or considerably changed service approach to improving the delivery of basic primary health care services with an aim to expand coverage and ensure quality of services at the population level with an emphasis on under-served populations. The financing mechanism will be co-designed with the FMOH based on the outcomes of the challenge and will be driven by the financial proposal and scale of impact of the selected innovators. To achieve this, FMOH and its partners issued a request for concept note to solicit submission from innovations nationwide. The challenges consisted of a 3-stage process: Concept note submissions, Initial selection and Showcase, and Final selection to be included in Nigeria’s GFF case. Winners will be announced in 2017.
